Gloria Patri Tone 4 or 1 | Palestrina | TTBB | 3'

This Tone 4 (1) Gloria Patri is taken from Palestrina's Tone 4 Magnificat for SSAA voices first noted in Codex 59 from the Lateran Basilica (2nd half of the 16th c.) and then found in the Urtext Edition Breitkopf & Hartel, 1885.  Thanks to Joachim Kelecom (www.cpdl.org) for his posting.

This Gloria Patri is designed to pair with Tone 4 or Tone 1 Communio's or Office Magnifcats where plainchant is used.  The Gloria Patri is traditionally sung before the final repetition of Antiphon.
